‘I Love You All,’ Woman Chats WhatsApp Group Then Kills Self, Kids With Poisoned Yoghurt After Fight With Husband
In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a 31-year-old Zimbabwean woman named Amina has taken her own life and the lives of her two children following a heated altercation with her husband.
Amina’s distressing act involved feeding her two young children, a 10-year-old son, and a 5-year-old daughter, yoghurt laced with rat poison. Tragically, she also consumed the poisoned yoghurt herself. The lifeless bodies of Amina and her children were discovered in the confines of their rented room.
The unsettling incident unfolded with Amina leaving behind two poignant notes—one addressed to her husband and the other to her family. In the note to her husband, she explicitly laid blame on him for her demise and the untimely death of their children. This revelation adds a layer of complexity to the already tragic narrative.
In the note to her family, Amina expressed remorse for her actions, tendering an apology. However, she shed light on the overwhelming burden she felt, citing weariness with life’s challenges and the unrelenting conflicts with her spouse as contributing factors.
Her last communication before the heartbreaking incident was a poignant message on her WhatsApp status: “I love you all.” This final expression hints at the internal struggles and emotional turmoil Amina was grappling with in the moments leading up to her fateful decision.
The unfolding of this devastating scenario underscores the profound impact of marital discord on individual lives and family dynamics. Amina’s story serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for mental health awareness and support, especially within the context of strained relationships where emotional well-being is at stake.
