Why I Will Wear Mask For The Rest Of My Career – Osimhen (Video)

Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has revealed that he will be wearing masks for the rest of his career.

Giving reasons for his decision, in a video interview that has since gone viral, the mask man said, 

“I actually had two screws that passed through my jaws inside my mouth up untill now. 

“The last match I played, when I hit the ball, I had blood on that spot. The goalkeeper hit my face and there was blood even with the mask so it’s still dangerous for me without using it. I have to keep on using it”.

The Nigeria international player underwent facial surgery after colliding with Inter Milan defender Skriniar in a Serie A clash in October 2021. And since recovering from the injury, Osimhen has been wearing the mask for protection.

In reaction to the Osimhen’s revelation, 

Funky_fid commented via his X account, “That’s why footballers get paid a lot of money. How can someone have screws and still put on a mask for the rest of his football career?”

Ambimbola Fisher exclaimed, “Omo!!! The hazard in the job! God keep you Man!”

SOeun noted, “Footballers actually go through a lot.”
