Celebrities Disagree On Divorce Rate Among Those Who Marry As Virgins
Actress Sarah Martins has taken to social media to challenge the widely circulated assertion that marrying as a virgin adds security against divorce.
The assertion by Sarah Martins came in response to Solomon Buchi’s claim that statistics supported the idea that marrying as a virgin lowered the divorce rate.
Solomon Buchi argued on Twitter that individuals who opt for monogamous, low-key relationships and maintain their virginity are more satisfied in their marriages, thereby reducing the likelihood of divorce. However, Sarah Martins has refuted this assertion, providing anecdotal evidence from her own life.
Sarah Martins who married at the age of 19 as a virgin, countered Buchi’s claims by sharing her personal experience. She emphasized that despite entering into marriage with a clean slate, her commitment to virginity did not exempt her from making the challenging decision to leave her husband when her health became a concern.
Sarah Martins stressed that maintaining a virgin status does not guarantee a long-lasting marriage. She expressed that, despite being a loyal, submissive, respectful, and hardworking wife throughout her marriage, she had to prioritize her health and make the difficult choice to end the union.
“I am still a loyal, submissive, respectful, hardworking woman. Getting married as a virgin will never stop you from getting a divorce if the need arises.. if e no good for your health quit!” Sarah Martins stated.
