Akeredolu’s Secret Plot For His Successor Exposed (Video)

In an exclusive interview with TVC News on Friday, Wale Akinterinwa, former Commissioner of Finance in Ondo State, disclosed the surprising revelation of how his late boss, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, had anointed him as his successor.

Akinterinwa shared details of the extraordinary encounter, stating that Governor Akeredolu expressed his desire for him to take over the reins of leadership and become his successor during a discussion in his office. This revelation occurred shortly after Akeredolu’s return from a medical trip to Germany in 2023.

“In his office, he told me that he would want me to take over from him. And he prayed for me. I’m also aware that he told certain people about that desire,” revealed Akinterinwa during the TVC News interview. The conversation unfolded immediately after the governor’s return from Germany, highlighting the significance of this succession plan.

Wale Akinterinwa is currently seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for November 16, 2024.

GWG.ng reports that the desire by Akinterinwa is, however, now challenged by the death of the former governor as the new governor, Ayadetiwa is also now said to be interested having become the constitutional successor to Akeredolu who died in office last year.

Expressing confidence in his candidacy, Akinterinwa asserted his determination to secure victory in the APC primary elections, even vowing to defeat the incumbent Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa. “At an appropriate time, I will make my intentions known. I am confident that I will get the ticket. The people are with me,” he added
