Netizens Mock As Rep Breaks Down In Tears Over Insecurity (Video)

Spokesperson for the House of Representatives, Honourable Akin Rotimi, has drawn attention after he broke down in tears on Tuesday while speaking on the state of insecurity that has scared his native Ekiti State.

Akin Rotimi shed his tears at the plenery session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday following the abduction of school pupils on their way to school and the killing of two monarchs in Ekiti. 

GWG.ng reports that while his emotional outpouring of grief was touching, many in cyberspace have, however, bounced back the emotions saying that he like many others in political offices have made bad choices. Many expectedly mocked over the decision of the House of Representatives to buy N160m bullet-proof vehicles at the expense of the collective good.

While noting the increase in criminal activities in Ekiti resulting in the loss of lives and property, he said:

“the consistency is exposed to peculiar security challenges due to the nature of our forest and topography because Ekiti roads are some of the most dilapidated in the country. 

“The entire country further notes that on Monday, January 29, 2024, this criminals carried out a dastardly act (Tears) attack (tears) in Okiako area… (Tears) in… Ikole…(Tears).”
