Nigerian Lady Set To Travel From London To Lagos By Car (Video)
Embarking on a remarkable journey, Nigerian-British travel content creator Pelumi Nubi has announced her ambitious solo road trip from London, United Kingdom, to Lagos, Nigeria.
Sharing her daring plan with over 40,000 followers on Instagram, Nubi revealed that the two-month adventure would kick off on Tuesday.
In her Instagram post, the UK-based Nigerian blogger mentioned her preparation for the solo expedition, having engaged with individuals who had previously tackled similar adventures.
Nubi expressed the unique nature of her journey, emphasizing that, to her knowledge, no black woman had undertaken this road trip before. Despite the absence of a precedent, she conveyed excitement about the upcoming adventure, emphasizing that her goal was not to break records but to showcase that the “impossible” is merely a word when met with enough determination.
Nubi’s mode of transport for this epic journey is a Peugeot 107, which has been customized with features to accommodate sleeping and dining spaces. The extensive route spans across 17 countries, starting from England, then traversing France, Spain, and Morocco. The journey will take her through the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, and Gambia, continuing through Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, and Benin, before reaching her final destination in Lagos.
This audacious road trip follows in the footsteps of Kunle Adeyanju, a Nigerian tourist who rode a bike from London to Lagos nearly two years ago. Nubi’s adventure not only showcases her determination but also represents a significant endeavor for black women, breaking barriers and inspiring others to pursue their dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem. As she embarks on this unprecedented solo road trip, Pelumi Nubi’s journey becomes a testament to resilience, grit, and the spirit of possibility.
