Controversy As Buhari’s Former Aide Raises Public Prayer For Tinubu
What appeared to be a sincere prayer from Bashir Ahmad who served in the Muhammadu Buhari presidency for President Bola Tinubu has stoked controversy in social media with different political actors taking him on his prayer for the incumbent administration.
GWG.ng reports that the prayer from Bashir Ahmad came at one of the most trying times of the Tinubu administration following renewed insecurity across the country and economic challenges as exemplified by the collapse of the national currency.
Reflective of his time in the presidency when President Buhari also found himself abroad when the country was mired in challenges, it also happened that President Tinubu had left the country on what was defined as a private visit to France.
Apparently identifying with the challenges of the administration, Bashir Ahmad resorted to X where he offered his prayers for Tinubu thus:
GWG.ng reports that the post which came up on Tuesday had as at Thursday morning garnered over five thousand likes, two thousand comments and more than one thousand retweets.
Significantly, at least 15 users have bookmarked the tweet apparently ahead of a possible political umbrage in the future.
However, the tweet was trailed with many mockery with several alleging that prayer in the absence of good governance.
