Yinka Ayefele, the renowned gospel singer and CEO of Fresh FM Nigeria, is celebrating his birthday today, February 1st. Over the past months, there has been speculation about a perceived competition between the fans of Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM and the relatively new radio station, Success FM, both located in Ibadan City.

The speculation intensified when Success FM welcomed four On-Air Personalities (OAPs) from Fresh FM to join the new station. This move sparked discussions among listeners and industry observers about a possible rivalry between the two radio stations.

Recall that GWG.ng reported that prominent On-Air Personalities (OAPs) from Fresh FM have made a noteworthy move to Success FM. Akinwale Fasasi, popularly known as Wiseman, along with the dynamic sportscaster, Babatunde Saheed (Mr. Sport), Adesina Jagunmade, and Oyetayo Oladimeji (Mc Handsome), were among the OAPs who left Fresh FM to join the lineup at Success FM.

However, in a surprising move, Success FM extended warm birthday wishes to Yinka Ayefele on their official social media accounts. They celebrated the icon in the broadcasting industry, wishing him good health and wealth on his special day.

The message from Success FM read, “ON THIS DAY, WE CELEBRATE AN ICON IN THE BROADCASTING INDUSTRY, DR. OLAYINKA JOEL AYEFELE. WE SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU IN GOOD HEALTH AND WEALTH, SIR. GREETINGS FROM SUCCESS 105.3FM.”

This unexpected gesture from Success FM has raised eyebrows and prompted discussions among followers of both radio stations. It remains to be seen whether this marks a shift in the perceived competition or if it is a momentary truce to celebrate a prominent figure in the broadcasting world
