Bandits Kidnap Man’s Two Wives, 19 Children, Relatives, And Many Villagers
Terror gripped Zamfara on Tuesday when bandits struck Kasuwar Daji village, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, abducting over 40 villagers including 21 members of the same family.
Sharahu Almajir Kaswadaji, a close friend to the family disclosed this via his Facebook social media handle saying, “Bandits have kidnapped over 40 people from my relatives, my son (SALIM) including mother of my late wife with her daughters and many people in the house and neighbouring houses. Two Police men and our brother, Umar Habi have been killed.”
An undisclosed family source who also confirmed the incident to Daily Trust via a phone call said that armed bandits stormed the village on Tuesday for a revenge operation.
According to the source, 21 members of the family of the former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Hamisu Kasuwar Daji, which include his two wives, 13 children, a brother and dependents were abducted.
“Immediately they arrived at the village, they attacked the police station that is attached to the residence of Alhaji Hamisu Kasuwar Daji. They entered the residence and abducted two wives. The third wife was lucky, the bandits could not have access to her room.
“They also searched several houses around and abducted many people before they left the village. We are terrified by the attack,” he disclosed.
