Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over the prevailing economic challenges in the country. Portable expressed his grievances in a video that has since gone viral online.

In the video, Portable voiced his frustrations, highlighting the increasing cost of living and the economic hardship faced by Nigerians. He specifically mentioned the rising prices of essential commodities, attributing the situation to the policies of the government, particularly regarding fuel prices.

Asserting that everything has become too expensive, Portable lamented the impact of the president’s policies on the livelihoods of ordinary citizens. He accused President Tinubu of being responsible for the high fuel prices, which, in turn, has led to a ripple effect on the cost of other goods and services.

In response to the economic realities of the country, Portable announced that he had raised the fees of his show from 2.5 million naira to 3.5 million naira. He explained that this decision was made in light of the increased expenses incurred due to the escalating costs of production and logistics.

The singer emphasized that the adjustment in the show fee was necessary to ensure the sustainability of his career amid the challenging economic environment. He urged his fans and supporters to understand the circumstances behind the price increase, highlighting the need for artistes to adapt to the changing economic landscape.
