Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has taken to social media to implore Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, to intervene and address the prevailing economic hardships faced by Nigerians.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, Mercy Aigbe highlighted the dire situation plaguing the nation, emphasizing the widespread suffering, mental distress, and loss of lives attributed to the ongoing economic crisis.

Accompanying her message was a video depicting the struggles of individuals grappling with hunger, as they clamored to receive food supplies from volunteers.

Expressing deep concern for the plight of the populace, Mercy Aigbe called upon Seyi Tinubu to use his influence to appeal to his father, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a prominent political figure, to take urgent action in alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians.

In her plea, she stressed the urgent need for government intervention to mitigate the economic challenges and provide relief to the citizens who are bearing the brunt of the crisis.

GWG.ng reports that the appeal by Mercy Aigbe to Seyi Tinubu followed the outburst of protest in some Nigerian cities including Minna, Otta and Ibadan.

Seyi Tinubu had following the protests appealed to Nigerians to endure the hardship on the claim that his father is doing what should have been done by previous presidents.
