Rudeboy Disputes Eedris Abdulkareem’s Claims Of Assault By 50 Cent’s Crew

Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy from the iconic P-Square duo, has strongly contested Eedris Abdulkareem’s recent allegations regarding an altercation with American rapper 50 Cent and his entourage back in 2004. Abdulkareem asserted in a podcast interview that 50 Cent’s crew had physically assaulted Nigerian artists, including P-Square, during a concert at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

However, during an Instagram live session with fans, Rudeboy refuted these claims, stating categorically that P-Square never even attended the said event. He clarified that the reason behind their absence was due to the organizers’ failure to reach a mutually agreeable booking fee with the duo.

According to Rudeboy, Abdulkareem’s accusations were baseless, and he accused the veteran rapper of undermining Nigerian artists’ integrity by accepting meager compensation from the concert organizers after initially agreeing to more lucrative performance fees. Rudeboy emphasized that P-Square had declined the offer, opting instead to stand firm on their worth.

“P-Square did not go for the [50 Cent] concert. We had another concert. We were never billed,” Rudeboy asserted. “The reason was because they offered us peanuts, and we refused. But Eedris Abdulkareem accepted the peanut and was expecting VIP treatment.”

In his passionate rebuttal, Rudeboy urged Abdulkareem to “respect himself” and acknowledged the solidarity of other Nigerian artists, such as Daddy Showkey and Tony Tetuila, who corroborated his version of events. He concluded by labeling Abdulkareem as a “big liar” and reaffirmed that P-Square had not participated in the contentious concert, thus dismissing any notion of altercation with 50 Cent’s crew.
