Senator Okpebholo Wins Edo APC Rerun Primary

Senator Monday Okpebhelo has been returned as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC following the repeat primary that was allegedly conducted.

The new chairman of the Edo State APC primary election committee, Governor Bassey Out declared Okpebhelo as the winner having reportedly scored 12,432 votes.

GWG.ng reports that this is a setback for Rep Dennis Idahosa who had been declared the winner of the earlier primary conducted by Senator Hope Uzodimma.

“Senator Monday Okpebholo having satisfied all the request requirements of the party and scoring the highest number of votes cast in this Edo State governorship primary is hereby declared the winner.”
