According to reports from GWG.ng, Akpata emerged victorious in the Labour Party governorship primaries held on Friday, February 23, 2024, securing an impressive 316 out of 340 votes. However, what has intrigued many is the dancing prowess that Akpata has generated with his energetic dance moves that are now prompting comparisons to the current “dancing Governor” of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Senator Adeleke, known for his love of dancing, earned the moniker of “dancing Senator” during his time in the Senate before ascending to the governorship of Osun State and now dubbed as the dancing senator. His infectious dance moves and vibrant personality endeared him to many, solidifying his reputation as Nigeria’s foremost “dancing Governor.”
With Olumide Akpata in the shadows, Nigerians are now pondering the possibility of having two “dancing Governors” in the country. This would add to the colorful tapestry of Nigerian politics, alongside Senator Dino Melaye, affectionately known as the “singing Senator,” due to his comedic and musical talents.
As speculation swirls around Akpata’s potential as Nigeria’s next “dancing Governor,” the online community remains intrigued by the prospect of witnessing his dance moves on a larger stage. Whether he will follow in the footsteps of Senator Adeleke and embrace his role as a dancing political figure remains to be seen, but for now, Nigerians eagerly await the next steps in Akpata’s journey to the gubernatorial seat in Edo State
