Eedris Abdulkareem Leaves Burna Boy Diss Track, Goes After President Tinubu (VIDEO)
Nigerian musician Eedris Abdulkareem has pivoted his attention away from the clash with Burna Boy towards addressing political concerns involving President Bola Tinubu.
Initially, Abdulkareem had stirred anticipation among his fans by promising a diss track titled ‘Essay to Burna Boy’ in response to Burna Boy’s criticism of him on social media.
Their feud sparked after Abdulkareem labeled Burna Boy’s assertion of receiving no support in Nigeria as “stupid” during an episode of The Honest Bunch podcast. Burna Boy retaliated on X (formerly Twitter), mocking Abdulkareem’s health issues and those who aided him financially during his health crisis.
However, Abdulkareem made a surprising announcement via an Instagram video, revealing his decision to shelve the diss track against Burna Boy. Instead, he opted to use his platform to scrutinize President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
This shift came after careful consideration and consultations with various stakeholders, including family, friends, crew, and fervent fans. Abdulkareem’s decision reflects a desire to channel his musical expression towards addressing the socio-political challenges confronting Nigeria.
His forthcoming track will tackle prevalent issues such as economic hardship, rampant kidnapping, banditry, corruption, and perceived governance failures under Tinubu’s leadership.
Expressing deep concern for the plight of ordinary Nigerians, Abdulkareem bemoaned the dire state of affairs in the country. He criticized individuals who he believes are attempting to divert attention from pressing national issues for personal gain or due to apathy.
