BREAKING: Mr Ibu Is Dead

Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor also known as Mr Ibu is dead.

News of his passing broke broke out on Saturday night to the shock of his fans. “Mr Ibu is dead”, most social media posts read.

Recall that in October of 2023, it was reported that the veteran actor was ill and required financial assistance to help take care of his health.

But in November 2023, Okafor’s family confirmed that one of his legs had been amputated to keep him alive.

His former manager, Emeka Chochoo said the amputation became necessary because of an infection of the arteries at the ankle that was not detected early enough.

There was also a family feud with the actors family involving his wife and his stepdaughter, Jasmine.

This disagreement stemmed from money donated to the actor to help take care of his bills.

It was reported that the actor passed away in the hospital.

Since news of his death broke out, celebrities, colleagues and fans of the Nollywood veteran have mourned Mr. Ibu in various social media posts.

The actor would be remembered for the comedic roles he played while alive.
