Why I Can’t Join Labour Party, Obi’s ‘First Lady’ Opens Up

Peter Obi promoter and Obidient leader, Neferititi popularly known on twitter with the handle, Firstladyship, has said she won’t join Labour Party and certainly not the Peoples Democratic Party or the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Her Firstladyship expressed herself as she intervened in the brewing civil war within the Obidient family over alleged misdeeds among the top echelon of the Obi fan base in Labour Party.

It followed the allegation by FS Yusuf that some individuals around the national leadership of the Labour Party were sympathetic to Peter Obi essentially because of what they gained.

GWG.ng reports that accusation and counter allegation against FS Yusuf dominated twitter on Tuesday and was flowing into another debate on Wednesday.

“FS Yusuf & Serah Ibrahim are the necessary energy we need. Both are leaders in their own right, & I respect them both. I will allow everyone to ventilate their grievances. You don’t tell people how to react. The Obidients are no Stoics; we are highly opinionated. The Movement will debate things out; stretch them to their limits.

“No one said we shouldn’t quarrel, & no one laid down the rules. While the other camps are banking on decampees, some of us already know say we plaster.

Explaining why she cannot join any of the major political parties, she said:

“I would have joined the APC, but they only accept bigots, criminals & terrorists.

“I would have crossed over to the PDP, but SPVs are still unrepentant crooks.”

On why she would not join Peter Obi’s Labour Party, she said:

“I would have picked LP card, but I don’t understand Apapa & Julius Abure’s drama. So I pin, Obidient is my name, & my name is Obidient. Obidient flows in my veins; my heart beats for the Movement! Some people are yet to understand who the Obidients are, & what we represent.

“Many think we are just some hotheads running our mouths. Others imagine we’re a bunch of party loyalists at the whims of greedy men. But we are beholden to no one. We determine our own future as if we’ve lived in it already. The Obidients are slaves to no one. You want to gaslight & influence us? Influence yourself first! The only thing we have to lose is our chains; we are those that abandoned our chains at the harbor. We have no leadership, we all are leaders in our right.”

“We are the only group that demand accountability from every citizen. PROVE ME WRONG!!! Obidient is the name, the focus is to see a working Nigeria. We are the realest community of different people but with same agenda. We carried the EndSARS energy & formed the Obidient, you think we are here to listen to look your face?”

GWG.ng reports that the identity of the Firstladyship has in the past been dogged by controversy with some in the APC alleging that the person behind the vicious and sometimes witty comments is a man.
