Former Senator Abubakar Danso Sodangi, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics and a stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has passed away at the age of 70.

Sources confirmed that the seasoned politician, who represented Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly for 12 years, breathed his last on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Danso Sodangi’s political journey began in May 1999 when he was elected Senator for Nasarawa West Constituency, a position he held with distinction for three consecutive terms. His dedication and service to the people earned him re-election in 2003 and 2007.
