Quadri Aruna Clinches Top Spot In Africa, Ranks 11th Globally In Latest ITTF Rankings

Quadri Aruna continues to dominate African table tennis, securing the 11th spot globally in the latest ITTF rankings released on March 12th, 2024. Aruna’s stellar performance at the 13th African Games in Ghana showcased his remarkable skills on the table, solidifying his status as the top-ranked African player worldwide.

The ITTF rankings reflect players’ performances across various events, with Egypt’s Dina Meshref and Hana Goda maintaining their positions as the top-ranked African female players globally. Meanwhile, Algeria’s Lucie Mobarek made a remarkable leap of 544 steps, securing the 103rd position globally and becoming the highest-ranked Algerian female player.

Aruna’s compatriot, Offiong Edem, also made significant progress, climbing 45 steps to claim the 97th position as the best-ranked female Nigerian player. In the men’s singles event, Senegal’s Ibrahima Diaw rose by 26 steps to rank 67th globally, highlighting the depth of talent across Africa.
