Lagos Unveils ‘Ounje Eko’ Food Markets: See Full List Of Locations

Under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos Government has launched the ‘Ounje Eko’ food markets initiative, aiming to provide discounted food items across various locations in Lagos State.

To ensure accessibility, a comprehensive list of venues for these discounted food markets has been announced, covering a wide range of areas to cater to all Lagosians.

The initiative spans several divisions within Lagos, including Ikeja, Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Epe, and Badagry, with a total of 27 locations in Ikeja alone. This highlights the government’s commitment to reaching as many residents as possible.

In Lagos Island, six venues have been designated, including notable spots like Ikota Primary School on the Lekki-Epe Expressway and the Admiralty Farmers Market in Lekki Phase 1. Similarly, the Ikorodu division boasts nine locations such as Ikorodu Grammar School and Zumuratu Islamiya Grammar School in Igbogbo, ensuring residents in this area also benefit from the initiative.

The Epe division will feature five locations, including St. Theresa Roman Catholic Primary School in Oke Oyinbo, while the Badagry division will have ten venues, including FESTAC Jnr College and St. Thomas Primary School in Badagry. This strategic distribution underscores the Lagos Government’s dedication to making affordable food accessible to its diverse population, ensuring no one is left behind in accessing essential food items at discounted prices.
