90% Of Diseases Come From Food And Drinks – Dr Nehemiah Gives Antidote
Christians have been urged to prioritise service to God as a precedent for the blessings that He pours on their food and drinks, Abuja cleric and medical doctor, Dr Edem Nehemiah has said.
Pastor Nehemiah, who gave the charge while delivering the Sunday message at the Hospital Chapel, National Hospital, Abuja on Sunday said that almost all the sicknesses and diseases that come upon men come from the foods and drinks they take in.
“To me, over 90% of sicknesses and diseases come from the food we eat and the water we drink. But when God will bless what you eat and what you drink, He said He will take sickness away from the midst of you,” Dr Nehemiah, a retired medical practitioner at the National Hospital said.
Continuing, on why Christians should seek God’s blessings on the food and drinks they consume, he said:
“This is something that money cannot buy, money cannot buy this. People who have money carry themselves, carry their money and go abroad and they are brought back dead. But when you serve the Lord and He blesses your bread, he blesses your food, your water and takes away what can harm you, you enjoy divine health.”
Dr Edem Nehemiah who spoke from the topic ‘Dwelling in hope’ said the promise of blessing the bread and water of his children was only one of many promises from God.
He thus urged his listeners to regularly seek out the promises as laid down in scripture to benefit them.
Quoting John 1:1, 14, Isaiah 43:1-5 and Deuteronomy 7:15 among others, Dr Nehemiah encouraged his audience to seek out the promises that have been laid down for them.
On what he perceived as the greatest promise from God, the preacher said:
“For me the greatest of all the promises of God is that He would not leave me or forsake me.”
Before Pastor Edem Nehemiah rounded up, he told his audience that they should not despair saying that “If you have the one who owns all things,” that they could well be reassured that they can have a grip on life.
