During an exhilarating California derby against Angel City on Sunday, Oshoala secured Bay FC’s inaugural goal, sealing a crucial 1-0 triumph.
Stepping onto the BMO Stadium field, the former Arsenal and Liverpool striker became the ninth Nigerian player to grace the NWSL, as per Bay FC’s official webpage.
Hailing from FC Barcelona, Oshoala showcased her renowned goal-scoring prowess, having clinched six African Player of the Year titles.
In the 17th minute, midfielder Tess Boade intercepted a pass and located Oshoala positioned in the box. With precision, Oshoala unleashed a thunderous shot into the upper right corner, rendering the Angel City goalkeeper helpless.
