VeryDarkMan: Lawyer Blames Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, Samklef For Arrest As Court Slams N200m Bail (Video)

The arrest of controversial activist VeryDarkMan has been linked to three Nigerian entertainment figures, including Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, and Samklef, his lawyer has said.

The arrest of VeryDarkMan according to the lawyer stemmed from allegations of cyberbullying and threats against Dikeh, particularly related to unfounded claims about her association with the GistLover blog.

Following a petition from Tonto Dikeh, VeryDarkMan was detained by the police. Despite meeting some bail conditions, his release remained uncertain due to procedural hurdles. The bail terms were stringent, requiring a N200 million bond, property ownership in Abuja, involvement of a government official, and surrender of his passport for a year.

The lawyer publicly disclosed the identities of those behind the arrest of VeryDarkMan to include the trio of Dikeh, Ojo, and Samklef to hold him accountable for defamatory and threatening actions. This legal battle raises discussions on cyberbullying and public figures’ measures to safeguard their reputations.

Amidst the unfolding case, VeryDarkMan’s legal team has expressed confidence in the police force and legal system and pledged to adhere to due process. The team also acknowledged the support received, indicating a commitment to navigate the legal proceedings with diligence and respect for the law.
