In response to the recent online uproar surrounding actor Femi Adebayo’s announcement of Bobrisky as the “Best Dressed Female” at a movie premiere, the African Men Entertainment Kings Club (AFRIMEK) has issued a press release to clarify the situation.

The statement, shared on AFRIMEK Instagram page, emphasized Adebayo’s integrity, class, and commitment to upholding positive values. It clarified that Adebayo was simply called upon to announce the winner without prior notice and was not part of the selection process.

“Our honourable Mayor is a man of integrity, class and honour who stands and uphold all positive value and etiquette of normal human beings.”- the statement read in part.

The press release highlights the nature of the entertainment industry, where creativity and business strategies generate anticipated buzz.

“this is the entertainment world where creativity comes and business strategies are generated.”

However, AFRIMEK assures that Adebayo, known for his religious beliefs, would not go against his principles, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, GWG.ng reports that amidst the controversy, actress Dayo Amusa reportedly engaged in a heated exchange with Femi Adebayo’s wife over the issue. While Adebayo’s wife defended her husband against perceived insults, she did not express opposition to the announcement itself.
