Buhari In Profuse Prayers For Tinubu During Birthday Phone Call

Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, followed up his public salutation to President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday with profuse prayers for his successor during a phone call.

GWG.ng had earlier reported the former president as congratulating Tinubu on his birthday in a statement issued by Mallam Garba Shehu, the former presidential spokesman.

In a message to mark the 72 birthday of the President, Muhammadu Buhari commended Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for making “sustained efforts to overcome the many problems of the country,” while wishing him many happy returns of the day.

It was gathered that President Buhari followed up his public statement with a phone call to President Tinubu during which he personally passed on his best wishes for a happy 72nd birthday to the President.

Garba Shehu who confirmed the phone call to GWG.ng said that in the course of the conversation, the former president said he was fully committed to the success of the APC administration under President Tinubu.

In this regard, President Buhari prayed profusely for Tinubu’s success, saying that praying for a leader is imperative as his success and well-being are for the nation (everyone), adding that the accomplishments of the new administration must be seen as national achievements.

GWG.ng reports that the phone call from Buhari to Tinubu further reiterates the cordiality and positive dynamics in the relationship between the incumbent and his predecessor.
