Liverpool Go Top Ahead Of City, Arsenal Cracker

Liverpool bounced back to secure a 2-1 over Brighton on Sunday afternoon that put the team at the top of the league ahead of the Arsenal and Manchester City cracker at the Etihad.

GWG.ng reports that the win lifted Liverpool to 67 points ahead of Arsenal who are at 64 points ahead of the match against City.

Arsenal can only return to the top with a win over Manchester City. Winning the fixture against City would mean the Gunners securing the first double against the Pep Guardiola-led side the 2007/08 session.

The win by Liverpool has inevitably put pressure on Manchester City and Arsenal, who are about to go head-to-head.
