Fashion Designer Stabbed To Death At Graduation Party: Suspects Apprehended
A fashion designer known as Sheriff Alabi reportedly lost his life in a stabbing incident during a confrontation at Aga-Olowo in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
GWG.ng gathered that the incident occurred around 11 pm on Saturday during a tailoring graduation celebration in the community.
Alabi and three of his friends, Gbenga Mufutau, Peter Gbesu, and Samuel Bolarinwa, were reported to have gotten into a fight during the celebration, and despite efforts by other attendees to settle the altercation, it turned violent.
While efforts to stop the fight were about yielding result, Alabi was said to have been stabbed with a broken dish plate.
The stab reportedly left some deep cuts on Alabi’s nose and upper lips, causing other graduation party attendees to rush him to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he subsequently died a day after the scuffle.
When contacted for confirmation on Monday, Omolola Odutola, the State Police Public Relations Officer, stated that operatives from the state command in the Ewekoro Area, under the leadership of Adelakun Emmanuel, swiftly took action by apprehending all suspects involved in the altercation, including friends of the deceased.
“Everyone involved in the fight has been arrested, and a preliminary investigation is underway. Upon completion, the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
