Paulo Okoye Appeals For Leniency As Bobrisky Faces Currency Misuse Conviction

Talent manager and actress Iyabo Ojo’s partner, Paulo Okoye, has appealed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for leniency towards popular crossdresser Bobrisky amid his conviction for currency misuse.

The controversial crossdresser faced charges of mutilation and abuse of Nigeria’s national currency, the Naira, leading to his arrest.

Bobrisky was consequently arraigned in court on a four-count charge of abuse of naira by the EFCC yesterday.

The crossdresser admitted guilt to the four-count charge, pleading for leniency from the court. Promising to use their platform to educate followers on responsible handling of the naira, they sought a second chance.

However, the judge deferred judgment to April 9th.

Paulo took to Instagram to express his thoughts, pointing out the implications of Bobrisky’s alleged offense. He suggested that if found guilty, millions of Nigerians, including himself, might also be implicated.

He appealed to the EFCC for mercy, assuring that such misconduct would not recur.

“If Bobrisky is guilty of Naira abuse you know say over 2m Nigerians will just go to Police Station and report yourselves including me.

Pls EFCC forgive us. Is not going to happen again”.
