President Tinubu Touches Down in Lagos for Eid el-Fitr Celebrations (Video)

President Tinubu has arrived in Lagos ahead of the Eid el-Fitr celebrations. Tinubu was warmly welcomed at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and several members of the Lagos State Executive Council.

The arrival of President Tinubu, marked by the time stamp of 4:35 PM, signals the beginning of festivities in honor of the Eid el-Fitr celebrations in Lagos. As the city prepares to mark the end of Ramadan with prayers, feasting, and community gatherings, the presence of President Tinubu adds to the spirit of camaraderie and celebration.

Governor Sanwo-Olu and his team extended a gracious reception to President Tinubu, underline the significance of his visit to the vibrant and dynamic city of Lagos. The warm exchange of greetings and camaraderie exemplified the strong bonds of partnership and collaboration between the federal and state governments.

GWG.ng reports that the Ministry of Interior has declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays to mark the Eid el-Fitr Holiday, making it that President Tinubu arrived early for the holiday.

The holidays this year are, however, being shadowed by serious challenges arising mainly on account of lack of funds exacerbated by spiralling inflation.
