The dynamic reporter who reports for News Central, however, quickly regained her balance and focus and continued with her report.

“I am sorry that the building where the fire started has now collapsed completely. We had to run for safety. We are seeing indications that the building was going to cave in anytime soon.

“There is a whole lot of pandamonium going on here. I don’t know if you can still hear me,” Adesewa reported.

Meanwhile, the TV reporter, Adesuwa has been hailed over her conduct and steadiness when the building collapsed behind her.

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Lagos Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that 14 other buildings were seriously impacted by the inferno besides the four buildings which collapsed.

Farinloye said the cause of the fire, according to sources, could be attributed to the refueling of a running generator at the market, which resulted to fire that could not be contained.
