Outrage As Nigerian Mother Shares Exorbitant Pre-Kindergarten School Fees
A Nigerian woman, Tanko Lami, has sparked a heated debate on social media after sharing a receipt detailing the hefty fees charged by a school for her child’s pre-kindergarten enrollment in Nigeria.
The total cost, amounting to almost a million naira, includes tuition, uniforms, health insurance, sports levy, and developmental fees.
The woman expressed her shock and disbelief, questioning the necessity of such exorbitant costs. “Development Levy of 300k? How? Will they give my child extra teeth and brain cells? I don’t understand,” she wrote. “55k for books in pre-kindergarten? My child hasn’t even started kindergarten yet! And the uniform, when my child is not a model… the same uniform they’ll pour food on?”
