Police Issue New Warning On Social Media Posts

Police spokesperson, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has warned social media users who post carelessly and sarcastically to desist as such acta could constitute a criminal offence according to the Cybercrime Prohibition Act.

Adejobi who issued this warning via his official X handle on Monday said, “Many talk carelessly and sarcastically on social media. Don’t say what you can’t defend. It could be criminal. Remember, we have the Cybercrime Prohibition Act, 2015. Be warned.”

The police spokesperson further assured that such acts will no longer be pardoned.

“We are out for them. We will get them one by one, and we won’t care whose ox is gored.
