Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has come under fresh fire after stating that some individuals don’t want the power sector to work because of their selfish gains.

Adelabu lamented that despite the number of Ministers the sector has churned, the power sector has continued to face challenges.

He said this in Lagos during the commissioning of the 63 MVA, 132/33kV mobile station at Ajah, Lagos State.

He said, “We have had over 40 ministers in the past and we are still here, we know there will be resistance and distractions but Nigerians will start seeing our overwhelming impact the moment we complete the TCN projects.”

His assertion is coming after the recent increase in electricity tariff that has brought unfavourable comments on the minister.

derecho reacted, “They’d blame everybody but themselves. Just like the African proverb: when the yam pounder is tired, he starts chasing nonexistent flies.”

Quest777 reacted, “Nonsense. If na by that, what about Nigerians who want the Power Sector to work.”

socialmediaman snapped, “Blame game even when they get to power.”

nedu666 asked, “Who are the some Nigerians?”

SoNature said, “I have told these people to stop this grammar. If you want the power industry to be effective, limit power generation, transmission and distribution to states. Dismantle the national grid hogwash or give a deadline for ending it and inform all states to look for sources of power and develop it.
