Mother Of Abducted Nigerian Singer In Tears, Begs For His Release

An emotional video which captured the mother of a Nigerian abducted singer, Goodnews Emuemu aka Gnewzy, in tears as she begged for the release of her son, has gone viral online.

In the video, the distraught mother couldn’t hold back her tears, saying that the singer is her only child and should please be released.

Recall that Gnewzy was abducted in Ughelli, Delta state on Monday, April 29 after a performance. According to his record label, the singer’s manager, Obas9ice who escaped unhurt, said the gunmen were dressed in police uniform.

His abductors have since contacted his record label and are demanding $200, 000 ransom for his release. The kidnappers threatened to send Gnewzy’s severed head if his management involved the police or reduced the money sent in as ransom. 

They stated that they would send a mail in five days with the location where the ransom would be deposited.

The mother of Gnewzy was seem appealing to his abductors to release him.

She said, ‘’He is my only child. Please release him” she cried as she had her hands on her head.”
