In a daring operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dealt a significant blow to drug traffickers, intercepting a massive 5,000kg shipment of skunk, a potent form of cannabis. The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, shared a thrilling video on social media, showcasing the moment NDLEA officers uncovered the cleverly concealed skunk.

The drug traffickers had attempted to outsmart authorities by hiding the drugs within a gas tanker and suitcases with false bottoms. However, their resourcefulness was no match for the NDLEA’s vigilance and expertise. The successful interception is a testament to the agency’s unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting communities from the harmful effects of illicit substances.

Babafemi praised the NDLEA’s proactive approach, stating, “Drug traffickers may devise ingenious methods to evade detection, but we remain steps ahead, dedicated to disrupting their criminal activities and keeping our communities safe.”

This significant seizure highlights the ongoing efforts of the NDLEA to disrupt the drug supply chain and bring perpetrators to justice. The agency’s relentless pursuit of drug traffickers serves as a warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade: the NDLEA will not relent in its mission to protect Nigeria from the scourge of drug abuse.
