Sirika, Man Who Invented ‘Nigeria Air’ Gets Bail Over Alleged N2.7b Fraud, Daughter Also
Former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, his daughter, and two others have all been granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
The bail sum is ₦100 million each, with two sureties.
Hadi Sirika, the former minister of aviation, together with his daughter Fatimah and two other suspects were arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday.
GWG.ng reports that Sirika and other suspects are facing charges of contract fraud amounting to N2.7 billion that was discovered in the Aviation Ministry.
GWG.ng reports that Nigerians will remember Sirika for his passionate role in pushing through the Nigerian Air, a scheme which collapsed immediately after he left office.
