Labour pulls out of negotiation

Organised Labour on Wednesday pulled out of the ongoing minimum wage negotiations with the Federal Government.

The development came after the FG and the Organized Private Sector, OPS, made an offer of N48,000 and N54,000 wage respectively.

The organized labour described the offer as “ridiculous”.

GWG.ng gathered that while the FG did not provide any data to back up its proposal unlike Organised Labour, OPS on the other hand, said none of its members pays less than N78,000.

The spokesman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Benson Upah confirmed the exit to the press.

He said, “Yes we are out. We are about to address the press and you will get the details then”.
