JUST IN: Many Students Injured As Violent Rainstorm Destroys OAU Lecture Theatre 

Many students have reportedly sustained injuries after a rainstorm occurred on Thursday morning at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife, Osun state.

Viral pictures online depict aftermaths of the violent rainstorm that tore the roofing of an Amphitheatre while lectures were ongoing; leaving students to flee for safety.

The institution’s Association of Campus Journalists (ACJ-OAU) made the development public in a photo story accompanied by a caption on its official X handle.

The tweet read, “Rainstorm destroys Amphitheatre Roof during SER Class, Injured students rushed to Health Centre.”

Thankfully no life was lost. However the injured students have been rushed to the schools health centre, and currently receiving medical health care.
