Diddy Under Fire As Assault Video On Ex-Girlfriend Cassie Resurfaces
American rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has come under fire after a video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend and former signee, Cassie, went viral. The incident, which took place in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016, has resurfaced amid a series of legal challenges Diddy is currently facing, including multiple allegations of sexual assault.
The video, obtained and aired by CNN, vividly shows Diddy engaging in physical violence against Cassie, throwing objects, and repeatedly kicking her. This footage not only highlights the troubled personal relationship between Diddy and Cassie but also ties into a larger narrative of alleged sexual misconduct by the rapper.
Cassie filed a lawsuit in November 2023 in Federal District Court in Manhattan, accusing Diddy of various abuses from 2005 to 2018. Her accusations included being given drugs and alcohol, being forced to engage in sex with male prostitutes, and being subjected to rape and physical abuse. Although Cassie later withdrew her charges following an out-of-court settlement with Diddy, other women and a former male producer have come forward with their own allegations of sexual assault against him.
The legal issues surrounding Diddy go beyond these personal allegations. In March, his Los Angeles home was raided by Homeland Security Investigations agents in connection with allegations of sex and human trafficking.
