Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Edo State, Barrister Asue Ighodalo, has hailed Senator Ehigie Uzamere on his positively impactful role in the nation’s democratic enterprise.

Ighodalo sent the commendation in a message to the former Edo South senator on his 69th birthday, June 1, 2024 even as he poured profuse commendations on him for his invaluable political guidance.

GWG.ng reports that Senator Uzamere who became the first Edo South senator to win re-election, albeit on the platforms of two different political parties, was one of the first political leaders in Edo State to identify with Ighodalo in his political ascendance.

Appreciating the Benin born architect on his sway in legislative construction while he was a lawmaker, Ighodalo pointed at his roles in the amendment of the National Communications Commission Act among other legislative interventions.

He said:

“Dear Senator Uzamere,

Happy 69th birthday! Your dedication to democracy and development has made a significant impact on our nation’s political landscape, and sets you apart as a towering figure.

Through your leadership and legislative prowess, you have not only championed crucial reforms but also paved the way for a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.

As a trusted ally and confidante, your guidance and encouragement have been invaluable. Your work as a senator, particularly your role in the Constitution Review and key legislation like the Nigerian Communication Commission Act and the Nigerian Institute of Cost Management Bill, highlights your commitment to progress.

Happy Birthday, Senator Uzamere!

May you continue to inspire us all with your wisdom and strength.”

GWG.ng reports that constructing the political pathway to victory for the PDP candidate is about one of Senator Uzamere’s latest architectural endeavours.
