Strike Holds Firm At Lagos Airport, Electricity Switched Off (Video)

The strike ordered by the Trade Union Congress, TUC and the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC was taking shape at the nation’s aviation hub, Lagos early on Monday with labour activists paralysing the operations of the commercial airlines.

Sources told GWG.ng that commercial activities have been grounded at the Lagos airports following the resolve of the labour unions to fully implement the strike. Entry into the airport have also been impeded.

Besides, GWG.ng reports that the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE has also switched off power supply in many parts of the country.

The streets of many state capitals are also deserted with workers staying put at home.
