Nigerian-Born Confirmed As Chelsea Top Striker
Fulham have announced that Chelsea-bound Nigerian-born central defender Tosin Adarabioyo will be leaving Craven Cottage for good upon the expiration of his contract at the end of this month.
Tosin Adarabioyo joined the London-based side from Manchester City in 2020 and quickly established himself as a key player, having made 34 appearances across all competitions in his debut season.
The Cottagers got relegated at the end of the 2020/2021 season and the 26-year-old played a vital role in their promotion back to the Premier League as he was named in the PFA and EFL teams of the season.
He continued to be a mainstay in the starting lineup on their return to the Premier League, making a combined 45 appearances in the last two campaigns to help the Craven Cottage outfit maintain their top-flight status.
With a year left on his contract last summer, Tottenham and Monaco attempted to sign him, but Fulham refused their advances to retain his services for the just-concluded campaign.
The Cottagers have attempted to tie him down to a new contract since then, but all efforts have proved abortive, and the relationship between the two parties is now set to come to an end.
Tosin Adarabioyo is on the verge of joining Chelsea with an announcement of his signature to take place any moment from now.
He made 132 appearances across all competitions during his stay with Fulham and got five goals and two assists.
