Abuja-Bound Train Derails, Third Derailment In Two Weeks (Video)

As the nation commemorates the 2024 Democracy Day, an Abuja-bound train experienced a derailment along the Abuja-Kaduna route on Wednesday.
This marks the third occurrence of such an incident within a span of two weeks, from May 26 to June 12, 2024.
A source within the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), who chose not to be identified, confirmed the incident. When questioned about the resolution of the issue, the NRC employee stated, “We are still working on it.”
Additionally, former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani suggested that a high-ranking Managing Director was onboard during the mishap.
Meanwhile, at approximately 11:47 am, an X user named Norbert Shialsuk remarked, “We were lucky it happened when we got to Abuja. Imagine this happening in the bush.”
As of the time of reporting, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has yet to comment on the incident.
