June 12: Senator Natasha Greets Nigerians On Democracy Day

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 25th Democracy Day.

In a statement issued by her Chief Press Secretary, Israel Arogbonlo Israel, she commended the sacrifices of heroes past, and the resilience of the Nigerian people.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasised the importance of democracy’s principles, including equality, justice, freedom, and unity, and encouraged Nigerians to embrace diversity, promote inclusivity, and foster a culture of tolerance and understanding.

“Today, we celebrate a milestone in our nation’s journey – Democracy Day!

“We honor the struggles of our past, the sacrifices of our heroes, and the resilience of our people.

“We acknowledge the progress made, the challenges overcome, and the victories achieved.

“As we mark this special day, let us recommit to the principles of democracy: equality, justice, freedom, and unity.

“Let us embrace our diversity, promote inclusivity, and foster a culture of tolerance and understanding.

“Let us celebrate our achievements, learn from our mistakes, and strive for a brighter future.

“Long live Nigeria! Long live democracy!

“Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!” Senator Natasha said in her Democracy Day message to constituents and the people of Nigeria on the June 12 anniversary.
