Portable Blasts Davido Over ‘Bad Advice’ (Video)

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked another controversy, this time targeting his recent dinner companion, Davido over a career advice.

In a heated Instagram Live session, Portable accused Davido of giving him poor advice during their meeting in Atlanta.

According to Portable, Davido, who is signed to Sony Music, advised him against signing with the label and instead suggested he sign with Empire and collect an advance. Portable expressed his disappointment, stating that Davido is chasing the same Grammy award that he is also pursuing.

The outburst has sparked debate among fans, with many criticizing Davido for associating with Portable, known for his tumultuous relationships with colleagues, especially given the advice supposedly given. Just a week ago, Davido had treated Portable to a sumptuous dinner in Atlanta, gifting him a high-end sneaker and other items.

However, their cordial meeting was short-lived, as Portable soon accused Zlatan Ibile of attempting to create tension between him and Davido. He also clarified his collaboration with Dammy Krane, a rival of Davido’s, and pleaded with fans not to ruin his relationship with Davido, whom he referred to as his “helper.”

This is not the first time Portable and Davido have clashed. In 2022, they fell out over political differences, with Davido unfollowing Portable on Instagram. However, they later reconciled after Portable publicly apologized and Davido re-followed him.
