Speculations Trail Gruesome Rape, Murder Of Fresh UNIBEN Graduate

Speculations have trailed the horrific death of Adekolure Idowu Glory, a fresh graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), by unknown assailants.

Glory had completed her program in UNIBEN and visited the school to process her clearance ahead of her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

On her way home on Thursday, June 13, 2024, the 22-year-old was attacked by unknown assailants who beat her up, raped her, and killed her, leaving her corpse close to her family’s home in Iyowa community, Benin, Edo State .

While the identity of Glory’s killers are yet unknown, the horrific incident has since sent chills, leaving many to speculate.

A netizen identified as @Gottianthione on X cried, “Uniben na cult headquarter 4 naija.. God forbid. After 4 years, wasted. Plus the criminals n the school wey no. talk God go punish all of them join.”

“Seeing she was raped, DNA samples can be gotten from her remains, but then there exists no data base to run said DNA against.”

Meanwhile, members of Gloria’s family are seeking justice for her.

Her brother who took to his Official X handle wrote: “Justice for my younger sister Adekolure Idowu Glory, who was raped and killed in lyowa Community Benin Edo state on her way back from school (Uniben) she went for her clearance and her corpse drop close to her mother’s house.

“Please help us seek for justice for my kid sister that just graduated from university of Benin (Uniben)April 2024 and still processing her projects and clearance and was rape to death on her way back from school on Thursday 13th/6/2024 just 22 years.”

Her lifeless body was deposited to UBTH mortuary on the 15/6/24 with the help of the Nigerian police from Ekiadolor division.”
