“Falling Up,” a hit song by Adekunle Gold, was featured as the closing ceremony anthem for the Louis Vuitton show at the Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The event, which started on June 18 and runs until June 23, kicked off with the Louis Vuitton show at the UNESCO headquarters. The show featured an outdoor, turf-lined runway, setting a unique stage for the fashion week.

“Falling Up” is a track from Gold’s latest album, “Tequila Ever After.” The “Orente” superstar collaborated with US music icons Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams on this track.

During the runway show, Adekunle Gold was seen wearing a multi-colored jacket. He was seated next to Tems, who was dressed in an all-white ensemble, adding to the event’s star-studded appeal.

Pharrell, who also serves as the creative director for Louis Vuitton menswear, was actively involved in coordinating the models on the runway.

The event saw the presence of other Afrobeats stars, including Rema, Burna Boy, and Wizkid. These Nigerian megastars showcased their unique styles on the Parisian runways, adding to the event’s glamour.

In now-viral videos, Burna Boy was seen exchanging greetings with Rema, while Wizkid and Jada Pollock appeared together. Another clip showed Adekunle Gold enjoying the moment as his song played, with Rema, seated beside Tems, extending a handshake to him.

Adekunle Gold gained fame with his hit song “Sade,” a high-life cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life.” Over the years, he has received numerous awards and accolades for his talent.

In 2023, he won the Songwriter of the Year award at the Headies. That same year, in March, he signed with Def Jam Recordings. Additionally, he owns a record label called Afro Urban Records.
