Amid the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, pro Sim Fubara Supporters, have asked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to allow the governor focus on leading the state.

Gwg.ng reports that Wike and Fubara who were ones father and son, have in the last few months been at each other’s throats over the control of Rivers State.

The latest crisis between the duo errupted after 23 local government chairmen loyal to Wike,  vowed to remain on sit after their tenure expired on June 17, 2024.

Gwg.ng on Tuesday, reported that youths risked their lives to prevent the local government chairmen from accessing Wike’s stronghold, Obio Akpor Local government council, after Governor Fubara bade them farewell in an early morning broadcast.

Videos Circulating online captured youths of the state uprooting Wike’s statue at the LGA council.

Sadly, the renewed political crisis in Rivers State, turned out bloody, claiming two lives.

In view of this, supporters of Fubara took to their X accounts to advise Wike to bow out while it is still early.
