Plateau Muslims Hail Gov Mutfwang For Touching Them With Projects

Muslims in Plateau State on Wednesday paid the traditional Eid-El-Kabir Sallah homage to the State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang as they commended him for his thoughtful act towards the Muslim community in the State.

The Muslim Ummah comprising clerics, community leaders, women, youths, and the elderly were led by the State Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, Alh. Haruna Sambo and the Governor received them at the new Government House at Little Rayfield, Jos.

In a Sallah message, Alh. Sambo, also the Emir of Wase, appreciated Governor Mutfwang and the Plateau State Government for their developmental efforts which he said have benefited the Muslim community and the entire State.

He highlighted the Governor’s commendable initiatives, including the rehabilitation of road networks around the Masallacin Juma’a, Zololo Junction, Mango Street, Delimi Street, Bauchi Road, and Rikkos main Road among several others, as well as the support provided for the 2024 Hajj logistics and mobilization.

Alh. Sambo praised Governor Mutfwang for introducing metro buses and revitalizing the railway, which he said have gone a long way to alleviating transportation challenges for citizens.

Expressing concern over recent incidents involving the enforcement of Executive Order 003 by a Task Force, he called for enhanced collaboration to ensure a smooth implementation of sustainable peace and cleanliness in Jos under the Greater Jos Master Plan.

The Governor in his response, thanked the Muslim Ummah for their steadfast support since the beginning of his administration.

He said, “I know many of you stood for justice when we faced adversity. This support has given me the strength and confidence to lead a government that prioritizes fairness, justice, and equality, without any form of discrimination.”

He emphasized, “Our policies aim to benefit all citizens and create a conducive environment for visitors to Plateau State. I appreciate the cooperation of Islamic clerics, particularly during our efforts in Terminus, and sincerely thank you for it.”

Governor Mutfwang assured continued openness to advice and collaboration from individuals and groups dedicated to Plateau State’s growth and development whether Muslims or nor.
