TapSwap Postpones Token Allocation, Gives New Date
TapSwap, the popular tap-to-earn app built on TON Blockchain, has announced a postponement of its token allocation to users. The app’s representatives are exploring alternative methods to reward participants, aiming to create a more equitable and engaging experience for its vast user base.
The announcement was made X space on Wednesday by John Robbin, TapSwap’s Head of Communications. He revealed that the token allocation method is still being determined and will be disclosed at a later date. The new target date for the token launch is July 1.
Robbin emphasized that a significant portion of the tokens will be allocated to the community to keep users engaged. The team is in talks with various exchanges and platforms to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome.
“We want to ensure a win-win situation for everyone,” Robbin stated. “We encourage genuine users to be patient and continue tapping to earn shares. More taps and upgrades result in more shares when we finalize the tokens.”
Robbin also warned that users exploiting the system will be banned after community checks, emphasizing the importance of fair play.
The app, launched on February 15, 2024, has gained immense popularity in Nigeria, with over 50 million users. TapSwap allows users to mine coins by repeatedly tapping an icon on the Telegram bot screen.
The booster option, which enabled users to double their earnings, has ended. Robbin explained that this feature was introduced to ensure fair allocation at the Token Generation Event (TGE) due to the influx of new users. The generated funds will be used to enhance the game and support the 25 staff members working to maintain the app.
Robbin encouraged more people to join the app, noting that there is still time to earn a substantial number of tokens. With its indefinite postponement, TapSwap aims to create a more rewarding experience for its users, fostering a loyal community and setting the stage for a successful token launch.
